Grants
Local organisations and individuals can apply to Dartmouth United Charities through their small grants programme.
Grants to individuals/households: The DUC offers grants to people who are resident in the Parish of Dartmouth who are experiencing financial need, hardship or distress. These are assessed on the situation of your household.
Grants to organisations: DUC also offer grants to organisations who provide services or facilities that alleviate conditions of need, hardship and distress and benefit the residents of Dartmouth. DUC will only meet the core costs of an organisation that can be directly linked to delivering grant activity.

Application Process
Applicants must read the full guidance and submit their application on the form provided below. Please speak to a member of staff if you need help. As of July 2025, Trustees are only considering applications from organisations twice a year, during their January and July meetings. Therefore, please can organisations ensure they submit applications by 10th July 2026 and 11th January 2027. There are no deadlines for individual/household applications and these can be responded to in a few days if all information requested has been provided. All applicants are notified in writing whether or not their application has been successful.
